North Lake Tahoe Regional Park Map

The North Lake Tahoe Regional Park is located one mile west of Highway 267 and one mile north of Highway 28 in Tahoe Vista. The Regional Park encompasses 124 acres of predominantly active recreational opportunities. Found within the North Lake Tahoe Regional Park are five night-lighted tennis courts, several athletic fields, basketball, handball, and volleyball courts. Hiking trails wind throughout the park and includean 18 station fitness route and a self-guided nature trail and a paved bicycle path for access to National Forest land or Highway 267. All of these trails meander through pine and fir forests, with trailheads situated on the Regional Park's main road. Also adjacent are a number of picnic sites tucked away beneath the canopy of mature conifers. For larger gatherings the covered picnic Ramada seats 100 and provides excellent views of the lake. Conveniently located next to the Ramada is a children's playground. In winter, the park transforms into a snow play area and offers several activities.

While casual snow activity throughout the park is encouraged, the most popular destination is the snow play area. With captivating views and groomed hills, this facility has been a favorite of sledders for decades. For cross country skiers there are groomed trails throughout the park and surrounding public lands. From the Regional Pakr one can make a moderate descent to Kings Beach or view some of the most majestic Incense Cedars on the North Shore. Snowmobiles are available for rent at Tahoe Snowmobile Adventures, located across from the upper level restrooms near the main parking lot. There you will also find sled rentals, and tickets for snow play.

Pets are allowed in the Regional Park and on the trails, however they are prohibited on all athletic fields.

Just 45 minutes from Reno-Cannon International Airport.
From I-80, take Kings Beach/Sierraville Exit (Highway 89) Turn left over I-80 and proceed to first stop sign. Turn left onto Highway 267 (going over railroad tracks) to Kings Beach. Turn left at the lake onto North Lake Blvd (Hwy 28) to go to the Conference Center. Turn Right at the lake onto North Lake Blvd (Hwy 28) to go to the Beach Center (which will be across from Safeway), or continue west on North Lake Blvd (Hwy 28) to National Avenue to get to the Regional Park located at 6600 Donner Road, Tahoe Vista, California 96148.
