 Rubicon The quiet corner of Tahoe with everything from small cabins to some of the Lake's largest lake front lots and houses. Homewood/Sunnyside This heavily wooded section of the Lake offers old Tahoe charm with classic cabins, homes and a local ski resort. Tahoe City This city offers fine restaurants, nightlife, a boat marina and world class skiing is nearby. Many full-time residents live in this area, which has a close proximity to the high school and middle chool. The average home price falls between $450,000 to $750,000, condos start in the low 200's. Squaw Valley This site of the Olympics offers great skiing and golf. Studio condominiums start at $250,000 and homes range from $450,000 to the millions. Alpine Meadows This favorite locals' ski area has homes starting at $400,000 and condos starting in the high 200's. Dollar Point This area offers much of what you find in Tahoe City and Carnelian Bay with the addition of a homeowners association pier, buoys, tennis courts and a swimming pool. Homes start in the $500,000's. Kingswood Located off of highway 267, this growing community has condominiums starting in the $100,000's and homes starting at $400,000. Tahoe Vista This area has seen a recent resurgence with new homes and commercial development. Prices start at $350,000. Kings Beach Just moments away from the popular casinos on the Stateline. This older area of the lake is changing and improving with the reinvention of the downtown and public beach area, but still offers some bargains with home prices starting at $250,000. Cedar Flat Beautiful woodsy feel with charming old Tahoe cabins. The homeowners' beach and pier ensures full enjoyment of the lake. Carnelian Bay/Carnelian Heights Heart of the North Shore, nice woodsy area close to everything. Mix of houses from small to large, and old to new. Prices range from $255,000. Ridgewood Located within and similar to the Carnelian Bay area properties. Some of the streets are steep and narrow making winter driving a little more difficult. Agate Bay Agate Bay Beach and Sun Club, swimming pool, tennis courts and lake access with pier and buoys. Meeks Bay/Glenridge Numerous lake view homes with peaceful open areas and a beautiful white sandy beach make this area a wonderful summer destination. Tahoma Nice west shore community with the least expensive property in the west shore. Very level streets with a wide range of home types. This area adjoins Sugar Pine Park and has Beach and pier access at Waters Edge condo association. Prices range from $250,000-795,000. McKinney/Rubicon Springs Wide, flat, easily accessible streets, and good lot sizes make this area ideal for mountain homes. Chamberlands One of the most desirable vacation neighborhoods in the west shore area. Chambers Landing provides homeowners a lakeside swimming pool, beach, picnic area and pier. Alpine Peaks/Ward Creek Views of wilderness, mountain meadows and high peaks, homeowners' tennis courts. Many of these properties are within close proximity to the backside access of Alpine Meadows ski resort. Pineland/Timberland Easy access to the highway and Tahoe City. This area is very wooded and has less sun exposure. Talmont/Tahoe Park Heights Mountain top subdivision with breathtaking views of the lake and miles of backcountry trails great for hiking, biking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Tahoe Park beach and picnic area is enjoyed by homeowners. |
